Vegas Trip

Last Year the girls and I did a trip to Vegas to celebrate our birthdays. This is a picture of the flowers taken at one of the Casinos.

I Lost My Blog

I finally found my info, password, etc. I thought I was going to have to start a new blog. It has been so long. Did a cruise late September last year. This is a picture taken in France near the French Rivera. We also did Barcelona and Italy.

Red Wing Hawk

Where I work (on the 5th floor) there are a couple of hawks that have been around for a couple of years. They have made a nest by the window. I have taken several pictures. but wanted to post this and I'll post more as they continue.

On A Roll.........

The first is a wonderful Raku piece I did with the raku purchased from XAZ Bead company.
I love working with found objects (although I am picky about what objects) and I made one focal out of an old key-hole. And there is one additional piece of Raku that I love and I got it from Olivia Dowdy of Odd Designs Pottery & Raku in North Carolina. Enjoy

It's been a long time since I posted anything, but as I said before, I don't feel I'm really good at this type of thing.

Anyway, had a great holiday season and a Birthday in January. I'm really getting old.

Have been re-doing my master bath, but have had time to make a few new jewelry pieces.

My best friend Bette and I along with three other girls we went to High School with are going to Vegas next month because one of them will be having a mile-stone birthday. The rest of us will too, but only later in the year. Looking forward to it.

Happy Gobble Gobble Day!

Wanting to Wish Everyone a Happy Holiday. It is Wed. November 21st and I only have to work a few hours today. My boss is really pretty good, said I could leave around 11:00 after my foot doctors appointment. I would post a picture, but have nothing significant. I made some new jewelry last week as I was getting ready for a small craft show at one of the housing/golf clubs here and I sold one of the new pieces and have not taken pictures of the others. I did pretty well at the show, however, I sold mostly some inexpensive Christmas earings I have. But I must say, if you sell enough it adds to the checking account. That's all for now. Oh, hell, I'm going to post a picture anyway. I love this picture of the fish!

Week-end of Fun Over

Well, Diane and I had a great time while she was here. We went to 4 craft shows Saturday, plus a bead show at Gwinette Arena. It was really fun. Since I never really travel outside of my comfort zone, it was a great challenge to find some of the areas where the shows were. We had to turn around a couple of times, but we got some nice things for Christmas and shopped til we dropped. Diane came with one bag and left with three...

Now it's time to get down to the real holiday stuff. I have a small craft show I will participate in Saturday for just 1/2 day, but I am NOT ready, and have a lot to do the remainder of the week.

This is a great colorful picture of a "Surf Board" graveyard (where the damaged ones go). It was taken on the Northshore of Honolulu.

I wanted to add another piece of jewelry I did. Although I did this last year, I really love the colors and textures of the piece.

There is a Chill in the Air

There is a chill in the air in Atlanta. We had no fall...but that's ok. My girlfriend from San Antonio arrived on Saturday and we shopped all week-end. The weather was great and got some Xmas things out of the way. She will be here a week working in the Atlanta office of Freeman Decorating Co. Here's another Hawaii picture for you to enjoy. Haven't done any jewelry lately.

November 1st / Year is Almost Over

Here it is November 1st and the end of the year is coming way to fast. I've been trying to be good about posting and sometimes it is hard for me to come up with things. This is a great sunset picture while I was in Hawaii. Aren't these great pictures, you would almost think I took them when some big fancy camera.
And the pictures of the jewelry is my main thing, although I do need to get busy and make some more things. I called this piece oaker and just recently sold it.

New Jewels

These are some of my favorite new necklaces. One is Chinese opals and a ceramic leaf I found on Etsy (I love this site). The other one is with the same type stones, but only in a chunky style that I like, and I purchased the ceramic piece on Etsy.

Another one of my new pieces is the great turquoise piece I made for a client.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Just wanted to say Happy Halloween. This is one of my favorite photos from my Hawaii trip. I love the colors and the way the little guy is just sitting on that flower. It has great color. Tomorrow I will just hand out candy to the kids on the block all 5 of them. Again I didn't remember my jewels, but I know some day I will.

Just Things

I'm trying to be good about posting and once I get in the habbit I'm sure it will not be so hard. I can't believe Thanksgiving will be here soon, this month has flown by. The pic's I was going to post of my new jewelry I forgot, so I'm going to post a picture of the bluebonnets in Texas I took in the spring this year.

Hopefully I'll remember them this week to bring the pictures of my new jewelry.

New Start for the Year to End on

Ok, so it's a new start for the year that is soon ending. I have had an Etsy web site for a few months now, and even though I have't sold anything it doesn't hurt cause it doesn't cost much. Since my last post I have been busy, but also lazy. I need to do better.

I went to San Antonio for my 40th high school reunion (Thomas Jefferson) and it was fun, although not many people showed up. Considering my graduating class was around 1,000 and only about 200 people went it was surprising that more people didn't come. I visited old friends and people I use to work with in Texas.

In early summer my girfriend and I went to Florida for a long week-end around the St. Armand area and it is always great there.

Sept. 29th found us off to Hawaii. It was really beautiful, this is the second time we've been, but it's been 10 years since my last visit. Thus the beautiful picture above.

Well, I have been making jewelry and need to post my new things. I think that my stuff now is much better than when I started. I have been wanting to do silversmithing and PMC but have been putting off the PMC for what reason I don't know. Silversmithing is going slow. I want to do it all, but when you say "make jewelry" it covers a wide range of things and it will take time. I will post some of my new things soon. When we were in Hawaii I did find a few neat beads to make some things with. With the holiday coming soon I hope to sell several items. I'll have to bring in some pictures so I can post a couple of my new things.

Vacation and High School Reunion

Next week I will be on vacation and since I'm originally from San Antonio will be returning there for my 40th high school reunion March 30th and 31st.

It should be great fun and I can't wait to see all my girlfriends there. My best friend Bette will be coming from Ft. Worth and we will get to hang out together. This next week I will be visiting with friends I use to work with and hanging out with them. I will post pictures when I get back. I did make a great necklace and earing set to wear for Saturday night and will have to take pictures of it to post here.

New Jewelry

Here are some new items I love. I have had lots of good things happen.



One is my dear live-in wanted to re-do my studio with cubes and compartments for me to put my stuff in. I can't find the pictures right now, but will enter them as soon as I find them. Or maybe I will take some more. I also have been working on a brochure and have it finished (I think. I will try to post the brochure here.

Been a long time

It's been a long time since I posted and I have some new things to show. One is my great new haircut.

My girfriend and I also just got back from Vermont 3 weeks ago and hit it during peak leave season. I will also try to post pictures of the beautiful trees. We also went to Tortolla in June and really enjoyed our time there.
