Vacation and High School Reunion

Next week I will be on vacation and since I'm originally from San Antonio will be returning there for my 40th high school reunion March 30th and 31st.

It should be great fun and I can't wait to see all my girlfriends there. My best friend Bette will be coming from Ft. Worth and we will get to hang out together. This next week I will be visiting with friends I use to work with and hanging out with them. I will post pictures when I get back. I did make a great necklace and earing set to wear for Saturday night and will have to take pictures of it to post here.

New Jewelry

Here are some new items I love. I have had lots of good things happen.



One is my dear live-in wanted to re-do my studio with cubes and compartments for me to put my stuff in. I can't find the pictures right now, but will enter them as soon as I find them. Or maybe I will take some more. I also have been working on a brochure and have it finished (I think. I will try to post the brochure here.

Been a long time

It's been a long time since I posted and I have some new things to show. One is my great new haircut.

My girfriend and I also just got back from Vermont 3 weeks ago and hit it during peak leave season. I will also try to post pictures of the beautiful trees. We also went to Tortolla in June and really enjoyed our time there.

"Forever No Posts"

I realize that it has been a very long time since I have posted. Although I would like to say I was too busy, I was really lazy. But, I have been busy. There was a sale at work during the first part of October to raise money for United way. I donated a dollar portion of my sales and I had a great response to my jewelry. This month (November) I am going to be in a small Christmas Bazaar at a very exclusive golf community and hope to do well there also. I have been making several things Christmas related to sell during the bazaar and it has been very hard for me to make just Christmas stuff. I have several items left over from the other sale, but some of them are not appropriate for a Bazaar, some I needed to increase my inventory. I will post some pictures later. Finally more pictures

I finally got around to taking more pictures of my jewelry that I have been making over the past months. Personally I think you can tell the difference in my early designs vs. my current designs.

This is what I call a "Fringe" necklace. I love wearing this and making it.

February 21st

Well, I've been making some jewelry, but not as much as I should have. Although I did manage to spend some $$$ on Friday for more beads and signed up for a class in March.

The weather has been cold and rainey, at least for this south Texas girl and I haven't felt like doing anything. I'll try to post later this week, as I have taken some new pictures of my things. I need to look into doing a couple of craft fairs in the spring so I think I'll do that. Later...

Pictures???

Taking good pictures of my jewelry continues to give me problems. I try different settings on my camera, but the background continues to be "Yellow" looking although it is on a "White" background. I set the "white" setting, use no Flash and they are still not great. This week-end I'm going to try putting more light on the jewelry to see if that will make a difference.

It seems as if making a good photo of the jewelry will take longer to get the hang of than I anticipated. I bought a new digital camera with more bells and whistles than my old one and the photos are still not great. Here are a couple of necklaces I recently made. These are pearls with sterling findings. Here are a couple more and I'll be done for today.

This is my new studio area. My sweet BF keeps adding things for me, to make it easier to work and do my designs. I also got a new kiln for Christmas and he got it set up and all ready to go. I am currently in the experimental phase of fusing glass.
